Certificate in Working with Couples
This 4 x 1 day course provides training in working with couples. The core theoretical model will be TA, but insights from other modalities will be included. Each training day will consist of didactic teaching, experiential exercises and couple therapy role- plays. The course is open to experienced counsellors who are interested in working with couples. No previous experience of couple counselling is required and you do not need to be currently working with couples to participate in the workshop.

Differences between individual and couple work
Role & tasks of the therapist
Ethical issues in couple work
Formation and development of couple relationship
Goals of therapy
Assessment & diagnosis of couple problems
Treatment of couple problems
Helping couples to separate
1st Course January 20th/21st & February 10th/11th
2nd Course June 16th/17th & July 7th/8th
Number limit 14 people
Times: 9.30 am - 4.15 pm (Lunch 45 minutes)
Fee: £440. Payments may be made in 4 x £85 instalments plus non-returnable deposit of £100 to secure a place.
